Scenteq — scenting spaces

Hotel lobby fragrance

The arrival, held for every guest.

Lobby fragrance specified from air movement, not floor area — so the scent holds through doors, weather and occupancy.

The problem

What makes this space different

A hotel lobby is the hardest room in the building to scent: constant door movement, kitchen and laundry pressure, and air volume that changes hour by hour.

A diffuser sized to the square metres almost always underperforms. Lobbies are specified from air movement.

Coverage

Areas we specify

  • Main lobby and arrival threshold
  • Reception and check-in desks
  • Lift lobbies and circulation cores
  • Lounge, bar and club floors
  • Conference and event arrival areas

Our approach

How we get it right

Specified from airflow

We size output against air changes and door movement, then commission at occupancy rather than at 9am on a quiet Tuesday.

One signature, tuned per zone

Lobby, lift and corridor share a fragrance but never the same output. Enclosed spaces read far stronger.

Fitted around guests

HVAC and AHU integration typically takes under two hours and is scheduled around occupancy and events.

FAQs

Hotel lobby fragrance: FAQs

How is lobby fragrance kept consistent through the day?
Output is scheduled against occupancy patterns and commissioned at peak, so the level holds when doors are busiest rather than only when the building is quiet.
Can the lobby and the spa smell different?
Yes. Most properties run one signature across arrival and circulation, with a complementary second fragrance in spa and wellness areas.
How disruptive is installation in a live hotel?
HVAC integration is typically under two hours by our engineers, scheduled around occupancy. Standalone units are plug-in and immediate.
