Assessment
We assess the building's ventilation: airflow rates, duct routes, zoning, plant access and how the spaces are actually used.

HVAC scenting systems
Scenteq integrates professional scent diffusion with your building's existing ventilation infrastructure — assessed, specified, installed and serviced for even coverage across large commercial spaces.
HVAC scenting is ambient fragrance delivered through a building's existing heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. A cold-air diffusion unit doses the supply air inside the ductwork, so scent travels with conditioned air to every zone that duct serves — even coverage, no visible hardware in the occupied space, and one central point for servicing. Scenteq systems cover up to 1,000m² at £799 ex VAT outright or £99 per month all-inclusive.
Overview
HVAC scenting delivers ambient fragrance through the ventilation infrastructure already serving your building. Rather than placing individual diffusers in each room, professional diffusion equipment is integrated with the air distribution system so fragrance travels with conditioned air to the areas you want covered.
It suits larger commercial spaces — buildings where standalone units would either be too numerous to manage or too localised to give a consistent result. Because the delivery mechanism is the building itself, coverage is even, equipment stays out of sight, and the whole scheme can be planned, zoned and serviced centrally.
Every installation is preceded by a consultation. Airflow, duct configuration and operating patterns differ in every building, and the specification follows the assessment rather than a standard product list.
Suitability
Method
We assess the building's ventilation: airflow rates, duct routes, zoning, plant access and how the spaces are actually used.
Diffusion equipment is installed at the appropriate points in the ventilation infrastructure, sized for the volume each zone serves.
Output, scheduling and zone balance are tuned on site, then reviewed after a period of real occupancy.

Benefits
Fragrance is carried by the same air distribution that already conditions the space, so coverage is even rather than concentrated around a unit.
Diffusion equipment sits in plant areas or above ceilings, leaving front-of-house free of visible hardware.
Large volumes and multiple zones can be handled from a centralised installation rather than dozens of standalone units.
One specification, one service schedule and one point of contact across the building.
Scenting complements guest and tenant experience programmes alongside lighting, acoustics and finishes.
Specification detail
HVAC scenting is an engineering exercise before it is a fragrance one. Open a section below, or show all details for the full technical picture.
Because these vary building by building, every project requires a consultation and a bespoke specification. We will tell you if HVAC integration is not the right route for your space.
| HVAC scenting systems | Standalone diffusers | |
|---|---|---|
| Best suited to | Large, multi-zone or multi-floor spaces | Single rooms, smaller premises, individual stores |
| Coverage | Even distribution via existing air supply | Localised around each unit's placement |
| Equipment visibility | Concealed in plant or ceiling voids | Wall or surface mounted within the space |
| Installation | Engineered integration after a full assessment | Rapid install with minimal building works |
| Zoning and control | Zone-level control, schedulable per area | Unit-by-unit control |
| Servicing | Centralised, planned visits to plant areas | Per-unit replenishment across the site |
| Flexibility to relocate | Fixed once commissioned | Easily moved or redeployed |
| Typical dependency | Requires suitable ventilation infrastructure | Works with no ventilation dependency |

Trust
We would rather under-promise. These are commitments we can evidence — not claims about how much you will sell.
Oils are supplied to IFRA standards with safety data sheets available before you order.
System, scent, install date and monthly cost confirmed in writing. No survey fee, no obligation.
UK engineers, insured and DBS-checked, fitted around your opening hours — not a drop-shipped box.
Cold-air diffusion leaves no oily film on surfaces, glass or soft furnishings.
We tune intensity on site after go-live. If the scent is not right, we change it.

FAQs
In their words
Feedback from live UK installations, published with client sign-off. Most sites ask to stay unnamed, so we publish the role, sector and city instead.

“The lobby reads as finished now. Guests do not comment on the fragrance — they comment on the hotel feeling more expensive.”

“Installed between shifts, no mess, and the reception team stopped noticing it within a fortnight. That was the goal.”

“Every store smells the same now, which is what we could never get from plug-ins. One contract, one invoice.”

“Changing rooms were our worst feedback line. Six weeks in, they are not mentioned at all.”
Photography shows comparable sector settings, not the client sites themselves. Quotes are reproduced as given and held on file. Results vary by building, airflow and occupancy — we do not guarantee a specific commercial outcome.
