What actually drives the running cost

Fragrance consumption, not hardware, decides the annual figure. At a medium intensity baseline of 1.25 ml per hour, a site scenting eight hours a day, five days a week uses roughly 2.6 litres a year.

Two levers cut that immediately: lower intensity outside peak trading, and scheduled off periods when footfall is low. Both are set once in the app and then run automatically.

What a like-for-like comparison should include

Comparable quotes need the same four lines: hardware, fragrance volume per year, servicing visits, and the length of any tie-in. A low headline price with metered refills often lands higher over twelve months than an all-inclusive fee.
